Beyond the Guesswork - June 2026

The Executive Perspective: Flying Below the Flight Deck

On a recent morning, I flew from Van Nuys to Carlsbad. At 4,000 feet the air was smooth, the sun was bright, and visibility was unlimited. Directly below me was Los Angeles, where millions of people sat in gridlock, going nowhere. From my altitude, you would never know any of it was happening.

Inside, the view is different. Finance rebuilds the same reports every month. Leadership receives figures that are days old. Modeling a hiring scenario takes weeks, and the annual budget is obsolete before the first quarter ends.

Most organizations respond by buying tools before they have defined what they are planning for. In my new piece, I lay out what breaks that pattern, and why the companies that scale well are the ones that build altitude rather than push harder through the chaos

I invite you to read the full blog piece on this issue, here .

Strategic Partnership Announcement: AdvisureIQ + Polytomic

Effective June 2026, AdvisureIQ has partnered with Polytomic, the world's first Anywhere ETL platform, to give mid-market finance and operations leaders connected data and the frameworks to act on it.

Mid-market teams routinely enter planning cycles carrying numbers they cannot fully trust, with data scattered across disconnected ERP, CRM, and operational systems. Polytomic provides the continuous data layer that keeps information current and synchronized, without manual reconciliation or separate pipeline tools. AdvisureIQ builds the data architecture, driver-based models, and rolling forecasts on top of it, so finance teams spend their time on analysis instead of chasing reports.

Last month we introduced a company that spent too many years in survival mode, until the infrastructure that once supported it had nearly disappeared. This is the next chapter.

Now the hard work begins, and none of it involves dashboards or reporting tools. The owners are sitting at a table, documenting inventory, costs, and pricing by hand for the first time. It looks unimpressive. It is where operational maturity starts.

In Chapter Two, David explains why the sequence matters.

  • Personal effort has a ceiling. Memory stops being enough as the business grows.

  • Visibility comes before reporting, and reporting before planning.

Direct Action: Connect with Greg Moxley, AdvisureIQ’s New Director of Client Partnerships

I've been thinking about that image because it describes most of the companies we work with. From the outside they look fine. Revenue is coming in. The team is working hard. The business is surviving.

We are excited to introduce Greg Moxley, who joins AdvisureIQ as Director of Client Partnerships.

Greg has spent his career building trusted relationships with business owners and senior executives, leading the kind of early conversations that uncover a leadership team’s enterprise planning needs. His strength is listening first, understanding the financial and operational pressures a company faces, and then connecting leaders to the right path forward.

That approach fits how we work. We earn a seat beside the advisors our clients already trust. Greg is here to develop and sustain those important relationships.

If you are rethinking how your organization plans, forecasts, and makes decisions, Greg would welcome a conversation with you.

Connect with Greg at greg.moxley@advisureIQ.com .
